This website is provided as a static site via GitHub Pages. According to GitHub, the IP address of visitors to a GitHub Pages site is logged and stored for security purposes. Depending on the technical setup, standard technical connection data may also be processed.

Where technically necessary connection data falls within my area of responsibility, processing is based on the legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Cookies, tracking and external fonts

This website itself does not use analytics, marketing or tracking cookies and does not operate its own web analytics system.

The website uses system fonts and does not load web fonts from Google Fonts or similar external font providers.

A cookie banner is therefore not intended for the functions used by this website itself. If analytics, marketing, embedded media or other consent-based services are added later, this privacy policy must be updated and, where necessary, a consent mechanism added.

4. Contact by email

If you contact me using the email link provided on the website, the data you provide will be processed in order to handle your inquiry and any subsequent communication. The legal basis depends on the nature of the inquiry and may in particular be Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling inquiries).

The website contains a simple contact form that is processed only locally in your browser. Submitting the form opens your locally configured email application with a prepared message. The entered form data is not stored or transmitted through a web server or form service operated by this website. Transmission occurs only when you send the message in your email application.

5. Retention period

Personal data from direct communication is retained only for as long as necessary to process the inquiry, conduct pre-contractual or contractual communication, or comply with statutory retention obligations.

I have no direct control over the specific retention period for technical log data at GitHub; GitHub’s own information applies.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may in particular have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, that consent can generally be withdrawn with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
